The PUMA Welcome Academy was held on Tuesday, November 3rd. Aimed at all members of the VCF Academy, there was a special focus on the younger members -such as those in the 8-a-side teams who will begin their competitions this November.
Valencia CF president Anil Murthy and the directors of the VCF Academy -Sean Bai, Luis Martínez and Marco Otero- addressed all of those present, thanking them for their commitment and effort in adapting to the new circumstances provided by the global health situation.
In addition, the boys and girls were able to demonstrate their skills and accuracy through different challenges set by Puma and Sailun Tire, as well as forming the shape of a bat together for a spectacular photograph with which the official VCF Academy Instagram account opened.
At the PUMA Welcome Academy, the 15 International Academies distributed all over the world, plus representatives of the affiliated schooles in the Escoles VCF project, sent their messages to those in attendance.
There was musical accompaniment for the event, as the band Bombai played songs and spoke to the youngsters.
Health advice was given for the safe practicing of football during the coronavirus pandemic, and the #AcademiaEnComunidad social action project was also exhibited.
A tribute was paid to Vicent Cuxart, a former Valencia CF player who for years was in charge of caring for the VCF Academy players at the halls of residence, who died in 2020. The club dedicate one of the audiovisual rooms closest to the residence to his memory.
